About ElvisAbout ElvisÂ
Elvis Gashi was born in Peje, Kosovo but later the family moved to Belgium because of the Kosovo-Serbia war, which resulted in 80% of the housing in the small city of Peje being destroyed. His father's mechanic and garage businesses were also destroyed.
In 2012, he was part of a Kosova national squad which came to the US to compete in kickboxing. During the visit he decided that he wanted to stay in the US in order to pursue his dream of fighting for GLORY.
He lives in The Bronx, New York and in the years since moving to the US he pursued that goal single-mindedly, working 12-hour days as a plumber and then training his kickboxing at turning down contracts from other organizations along the way, and now he has achieved it at last.
Gashi's natural power has been enhanced by his years of hard training, such that many of his opponents have lost to him well inside the distance. Gashi is a power-striker with a penchant for finishing fights before the judges are needed.
His list of accomplishments includes winning the Kosovo National Championships four times, winning a WKA amateur title twice and being the IKF USA National Champion. Prior to turning professional he amassed a 107-3 record as an amateur.
