Caceres vs Kromah : Fight Preview by Unibet

  • Feb 12, 2025

The preview of GLORY 98’s featured bout is powered by Unibet.

After impressing on the local scene and he takes a step up to the big leagues and debuts in GLORY in 2024. With three straight impressive victories he now finds himself as a top five ranked GLORY light heavyweight on the cusp of potentially challenging for the title.

This paragraph can be used to describe both Cem Caceres (18-1, 14 KO) and Mory Kromah (31-2-1, 18 KO) as they have mirrored their meteoric rise in the kickboxing world over the past twelve months. The similarities don’t end there, both top prospects are just 25 years young and have become fan favourites on the GLORY roster ever since they introduced themselves last year.

Cem Caceres is now the number four ranked light heavyweight in GLORY. His fierce fighting style and devastating punching power is almost unrivalled in the modern day of kickboxing. Just prior to joining GLORY, the young Dutch-Turkish fighter joined forces with legendary trainer Mike Passenier, a pairing that instantly suited Caceres and seemingly just elevated his already aggressive style.

While Caceres likes to come forward on the attack and overwhelm his opponents this is arguably one of the few things which differs him from opponent Mory Kromah.

Standing almost 6 foot 4 inches tall, Kromah is an assassin on the feet who likes to use his range to keep people at a distance before striking with a killer blow. And this offense can come from any angle and any variety of threats from straight punches to high kicks to devastating knees.

Fighting out of Guinea, by way of Belgium, ‘The Black Ghost’ loves the spotlight and the attention. His walkouts and trademark mask are part of the overall package and only seem to give him supreme confidence in the ring.

This fight is a perfect representation of two of modern kickboxing’s brightest stars and one of the true best light heavyweight match-ups in the world of combat sports today.

The winner will take a step forward and climb another step up the ladder towards title contention, while the loser will have the re-group and plot his new path for GLORY gold. Regardless of who wins now, this could be the start of a beautiful rivalry that may define a new generation.
