French star Cyril Benzaquen (57-12-3) has officially signed a multi-fight multi-year agreement with GLORY and will debut in the coming months.Â
The 34-year-old has held six world kickboxing titles, including holding the ISKA championship for almost a decade, and will have his sights set on adding a GLORY title to his already impressive resume.
The Frenchman will enter a stacked GLORY welterweight division which features the likes of Chico Kwasi, Hamicha, Jay Overemeer, and reigning champion Endy Semeleer.
“I'm very honored to be part of the league, which is considered the best in the world,” said Benzaquen. “After many fights and different world titles won, the holy grail of my career would be to win the GLORY title. I am excited about what I can do together with GLORY in the future.”
Benzaquen will also have one eye on the GLORY Welterweight Grand Prix, which will take place later this year – date & location TBA – where eight of the best welterweights on the planet compete in an exciting one-night tournament.
As part of a newly launched strategy in 2024, GLORYÂ will stage thrilling one-night eight-man Grand Prix events across the Heavyweight, Light Heavyweight, Middleweight, and Welterweight divisions.Â
The first of which will be the GLORY Heavyweight Grand Prix taking place March 9 at the GelreDome stadium in Arnhem, the Netherlands and will feature top stars like Rico Verhoeven, Levi Rigters, Tariq Osaro and many more.
