GLORY veteran Myron Dennis (20-7, 9 KO) moved up to heavyweight at GLORY 56 to take on late-notice replacement Steve Paprocki (0-1).
Paprocki, who came in on 24 hoursâ notice, connected with a series of low kicks to open the bout as Dennis patiently found his range.Â
That was about it for Paprocki; Dennis scored with a knee to the body before opening up with his hands. A right hand from Dennis along the ropes dropped Paprocki.Â
Dennis then showboated as the referee counted, but Paprocki continued. Another shot sent Paprocki to the ground just seconds later.Â
He managed to return to his feet, but it was short-lived as a final left head kick dropped him a third time to hand Dennis the quick win.
âIâve been to the future. I knew what was going to happen. It was just a matter of executing,â said an ecstatic Dennis in his post-fight interview.Â
âThis is the best shape Iâve been in. Iâm healthy. Iâll go again tonight; letâs go.â
Myron Dennis def. Steve Paprocki by TKO (three-knockdown rule). Round 1, 1:49
