The GLORY 60 main card in Lyon, France opened with a battle between top-10 featherweights Abdellah Ezbiri (47-13-1, 14 KO’s) and Victor Pinto (76-30, 23 KO’s).

The former tournament winner Ezbiri had the luxury of competing in his hometown, while his countryman Pinto was returning to his homeland after moving to Thailand.

The pair traded kicks to open the contest, then quickly settled into boxing range. Ezbiri was the aggressor and quickly found his distance.

He unleashed a spinning back kick that caught Pinto square on the liver. Pinto instantly bent over in agony and crashed to the mat. The referee started to count, then quickly waved off the fight as Pinto writhed in pain on the canvas.

“Oh man, it feels so good. I have worked so hard. To be here in France in front of my crowd, I can’t even tell you,” said an elated Ezbiri after the fight.

Abdellah Ezbiri def. Victor Pinto by knockout (spinning back kick). Round 1, 1:03
