GLORY 25 on Friday, November 6 at the PalaIper in Monza, Italy
After nearly two years away, master technician Giorgio "The Doctor" Petrosyan (78-2-1, 35 KO) makes his long awaited return to the GLORY ring at GLORY 25 Milan from the Palaiper in Monza, Italy on Friday, Nov. 6.
"Giorgio is one of the best pound-for-pound strikers on the planet. In fact, he ranks among the very best of all time across [all] combat sports," said GLORY CEO Jon Franklin. "Fans worldwide will once again get to see 'The Doctor' go to work. At GLORY 25 he'll be facing a top lightweight on his home soil of Italy. This is a huge fight for Petrosyan and this event will be very special."
Additional bouts for GLORY 25 Milan, including Petrosyan's lightweight opponent and the participants in GLORY's one-night, four-man Welterweight Contender Tournament will be announced at a later date. The tournament winner will have earned the next shot at GLORY Welterweight World Champion Nieky Holzken.
Tickets for GLORY 25 Milan go on sale next week and will be available via the GLORY website at gloryworldseries.com.
The organization's next pure striking event, GLORY 24 Denver, takes place on Friday, Oct. 9 and is headlined by No. 2 ranked middleweight and American kickboxing star Joe "Stitch 'Em Up" Schilling (19-6, 11 KO) battling world No. 3, Dutch kickboxing specialist Jason "Psycho" Wilnis (24-5-1, 6 KO) in a pivotal bout for the division's title picture.
