GLORY 104 Showdown: Featherweight Fighters Analysed

  • News

GLORY 104 is right around the corner. Amidst the heavyweight action, the second round of the Last Featherweight Standing tournament will take place in Rotterdam on October 11. Two incredible bouts will be featured on the Superfight Series card as former GLORY title contender Miguel Trindade (62-8, 26 KO) meets Bobo Sacko (79-6-1, 30 KO) who is still undefeated in 3 GLORY appearances. On the other side of the bracket, Mr.Fight of The Night Berjan Peposhi (31-5, 16 KO) faces Aitor Ibanez (28-7-1, 13 KO) in what should be an explosive affair.

GLORY 104 will mark the return of Miguel Trindade after his close fight against Petch at GLORY 100. The Portuguese sensation has reaffirmed his status as the second best featherweight on the planet and he sees the Last Featherweight Standing tournament as his opportunity to reach the top once again. But standing in his way is the veteran Bobo Sacko. Undefeated in 3 fights since he made his GLORY debut in 2024, the Frenchman is facing his biggest challenge to date and he is looking to prove that he belongs at the top of the division.

This is an extremely tough fight for Trindade to come back to as he will try to use his aggression to find holes in Sacko’s seemingly impenetrable defense. The French fighter has showcased great mastery of his craft so far in GLORY as well as legit punch power when he knocked out former GLORY title challenger David Mejia in less than a minute in Paris. However, Trindade has shown many times that he was not one to be easily fazed. His back to back wins over Kento Haraguchi and Chadd Collins in the Featherweight Grand Prix last year served as a reminder of the power behind his shots that might not have a match in the featherweight division. The fans can expect an incredible display of athleticism and dynamism from both men in this clash of style that promises to deliver an outstanding fight.

On the other side of the bracket, we can expect an all-out war between Berjan Peposhi and Aitor Ibanez. The Albanian has constantly shown that he is one of the most entertaining fighters on the planet. He is coming off an incredible win in a fight of the year contender against Deniz Demirkapu at GLORY 100. Less known by the general public, his opponent Aitor Ibanez surprised the world in his debut against Ayoub Bourass in June. Peposhi would be ill-advised to underestimate Ibanez who is looking at this fight as a way to make a name for himself on the biggest stage.

As is tradition with Berjan Peposhi’s fight, this will be a very fast paced affair as the Albanian will probably not shy away from his usual taste for absolute chaos in the ring. It remains to see if Ibanez can resist the impact and take advantage of Peposhi’s recklessness. A true clash of style is to be expected at GLORY 104. This fight is going to deliver some of the most brutal action of the night and this is one that fans don’t want to miss.
