Starting with GLORY 107 on April 25 from the RTM Stage in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, a new era will officially kick-off for GLORY, the world’s largest kickboxing organisation.
Following on from the success of the groundbreaking Last Heavyweight Standing, GLORY will expand on this format by delivering three more eight-man tournaments in 2026 which will include the popular heavyweight division and adding the light heavyweight & welterweight divisions.
This new tournament format will see qualifier events that will directly lead into an eight-man one-night grand prix in each respective division. Finalists for each tournament will be decided by six qualifier fights, one wildcard spot, plus the champion of that division will be automatically invited.
The stakes are raised higher than ever before, as the GLORY world championship, in each of these weight classes will be on the line in each grand prix tournament finals. To ensure the title is contested in each final, GLORY rules have been updated to reflect that should the reigning champion not enter the tournament, for any reason, the title will be vacated and the winner of the tournament will be crowned the new GLORY World Champion.
“In 2025 the fans saw and appreciated the unpredictable and exciting nature of the Last Heavyweight Standing tournament. As we near the culmination of this on February 7, we are thrilled to reveal our plans to roll out a new tournament format across multiple divisions in 2026,” said Marshall Zelaznik, GLORY CEO. “We want the most exciting product for the fans and tournaments have always been part of the DNA of GLORY. In this new format, we expect champions to regularly defend their titles and stay active. This will allow fans more opportunities to see the best compete. We have amended our rules to reflect this commitment. This will be an unforgettable year for GLORY.”
On April 25, GLORY 107 will see the start of the light heavyweight tournament with six qualifier fights which will decide six of the finalists who will move directly into the eight-man grand prix final which will take place this June in the Netherlands.
