The lightweight title showdown between perennial rivals Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong and Marat Grigorian was made official today at the GLORY 57 SHENZEN Official Weigh-Ins, with both fighters hitting the scales on weight. Sitthichai, the defending lightweight champion, hit the scales at 69.7 kgs (153.7 lbs), coming in slightly heavier than his opponent, who weighed in at 69.4 kg (153.0 lbs). Also on weight were featherweight rivals Chenchen Li (143.1 lbs / 64.9 kg)and Masaya Kubo (142.4 lbs / 64.6 kg) as they prepare to run back their GLORY 46 tournament fight, which ended in a KO win for Kubo. All eight fighters participating in the 8-man lightweight tournament on the Preliminary Card were also on weight. Liu Xu (154.3 lbs / 70.0 kg) faces Junchen Zhao (153.0 lbs / 69.4 kg) in the first of the quarter-finals while Tiehan Xu (154.1 lbs / 69.9 kg) faces Chao Wang (154.1 lbs / 69.9 kg) in the second. In the third quarter-final, Li Deng (153.9 lbs / 69.8 kg) faces Alimjan Tursun (150.6 lbs / 68.3 kg) while the final quarter-final bout features Lei Feng (154.3 lbs / 70.0 kg) against Wensheng Zhang (154.3 lbs / 70.0 kg). Tournament reserve fighter Junlin Luo (152.1 lbs / 69.0 kg) will step in to replace any fighter who is unable to proceed in the tournament due to injury.
