GLORY 93: Semeleer vs Beztati Fight Preview

  • News
  • Jul 18, 2024

The GLORY 93: Semeleer vs Beztati fight preview is powered by Unibet.

A GLORY superfight takes centre stage this Saturday when former GLORY welterweight champ Endy Semeleer (36-2, 18 KO) welcomes GLORY lightweight world champion Tyjani Beztati (26-4, 9 KO) up to the welterweight for the very first time.

There is a lot to prove for both athletes coming into this fight. Until recently, Semeleer looked seemingly unbeatable as he reigned supreme atop the welterweight division. However, in his last fight, he suffered a devastating loss to Chico Kwasi and relinquished his belt.

Suffering a shock defeat like this, it will be very intriguing to see how the former champ will respond and if it will ignite a fire within.

Meanwhile, Beztati has dominated and cleared out the lightweight division to the point now that he is seeking out a new challenge at welterweight. Stepping up is never an easy task for fighters and entering in at the top of the division is even harder.

Beztati’s height was one of his greatest assets at lightweight and this will be one of best weapons as he transitions. Even though he is moving up, he will still be four inches taller than Semeleer.

Statistically, very little separates these two. Both have almost identical knockdown ratios and striking rates. We could be in for a real rollercoaster of a chess match.

Fans have wanted this fight for years while both men held titles. But this could be the perfect time for this fight to happen as both men look to prove themselves.

GLORY 93 goes down this Saturday, July 20, live from the Topsportcentrum in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

GLORY 93 will be available to watch exclusively on Videoland in the Netherlands, Bally Live & Stadium across the United States & Canada, DAZN in France & Belgium, and on U-Next in Japan.

Preliminary card begins at 6:30pm CET/12:30pm ET with the main card starting at 8:00pm CET/2pm ET.
