GLORY Appoints New Director: Alan Murphy

GLORY, the world’s largest kickboxing organisation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Murphy as Director of Global Communications & Business Development.

Murphy will oversee the global media communications strategy, assist with international marketing, and lead on new market development as GLORY gears up for continued expansion over the coming years.

“Alan initially joined the GLORY team in early 2023 to assist with our international marketing & PR communications and has a great impact since his arrival,” said Jon Martone, GLORY EVP of Marketing & Partnerships. “With over a decade of experience in the combat sports sector, working with other major organisations, his knowledge of the landscape is an invaluable asset to have and we look forward to having him take the lead on pushing GLORY into new markets.”

The product is already the most exciting form of stand-up martials arts and I look forward to help introduce and grow the organization into new markets. The news comes following the announcement of GLORY’s return to Croatia for the first time in ten years. GLORY 95 will take place on September 21 and will see the comeback of heavyweight superstar Antonio Plazibat against the number one ranked Levi Rigters.

Over the past twelve months in GLORY, we have seen sellout events in France, debut in Bulgaria, soccer stadium shows in the Netherlands, and the return of the GLORY Grand Prix, the most thrilling tournament in combat sports.
