The biggest kickboxing event of the year is official. The GLORY Last Heavyweight Standing tournament will culminate at COLLISION 8 on December 13 at the GelreDome soccer stadium in Arnhem, the Netherlands.Â
The year-long tournament, which featured over forty heavyweights from around the globe, will be down to the final eight participants. They have ran the gauntlet, each fighting multiple times throughout the year, punching their tickets into the final.Â
Now they face the biggest test of all, an eight-man one-night grand prix style tournament, where the winner will be crowned the ‘Last Heavyweight Standing’ and awarded the title of ‘Baddest Heavyweight on the Planet.’
The four heavyweight who have already qualified are:Â
Tariq ‘Cookie’ Osaro (29-4-1, 16 KO)
‘The Black Ghost’ Mory Kromah (35-3-1, 21 KO)
Anis ‘Takamura’ Bouzid (48-4, 37 KO)
Nico ‘Big Sexy’ Horta (26-10, 4 KO)
Two more qualifiers will be decided this Saturday, October 11, at GLORY 104 live on DAZN PPV. Two separate four-man one-night tournaments featuring the likes of Levi Rigters (20-3, 10 KO), Rade Opacic (22-7, 17 KO), Nabil Khachab (30-6-1, 4 KO), and Milos Cvjeticanin (14-4, 9 KO), will decide who moves forward to December 13.Â
A further two wildcard entrants will be the revealed in the coming weeks. These could feature surprise announcements and/or be awarded to heavyweights who impressed in the ring this year.
