GLORY Underground took place Thursday night, May 1st, live from the Betr Warehouse in Miami in front of an invite-only audience composed of influencers, athletes and celebrities. The night delivered a dynamic event to launch GLORY’s return to US soil.Â
In the main event of the evening, GLORY Welterweight Champion Chico Kwasi (44-5-2, 23 KO) retained his title after a hard fought clash with GLORY Lightweight Champion Tyjani Beztati (27-4-2, 9 KO) that ended in a draw. This is the second time the pair encounters and the second time the judges score it an equality. Maybe a trilogy is on the horizon to settle the scores once and for all.Â
In the co-main event, Michael Boapeah (21-4-1, 9 KO) makes it five wins in a row against the Romanian Stefan Latescu (17-7, 8 KO). A win by TKO in the second round for Timebomb that keeps on showing how much he improved in the last couple of years.Â
In the rest of the card, Don Sno (6-2, 3 KO) overcomes the odds as he earns a split decision win over Younes Smaili (42-4, 19 KO). Newcomers Andrija Stankovic (28-4, 14 KO) and Delvi Nichols (2-2) both earnt unanimous decisions to open the card.Â
