With 32 heavyweights competing in the GLORY Last Heavyweight Standing tournament all rankings are suspended and will be updated at the conclusion of the tournament later this year.
“This tournament by design is going to be unpredictable where rankings will not play a part-this will be a real meritocracy,” said Marshall Zelaznik, GLORY CEO. “Individual matchups and tournament brackets will be chosen at random, so removing the rankings temporarily clears the slate for all fighters to position themselves for the future.”
‘GLORY 99: Last Heavyweight Standing’ on April 5, live from the Rotterdam Ahoy, will kick-off this year-long five event tournament.
