The GLORY 2025 calendar will be kick-off in a major way on February 222 at the RTM Stage in Rotterdam. Following yesterday’s huge announcement that Jamal Ben Saddik (36-9, 29 KO) returns to action against Uku Jurjendal (20-9, 16 KO) in the main event, another massive fight has been added to the GLORY 98 card.
GLORY welterweight world champion Chico Kwasi (43-5-1, 23 KO)Â is set to defend his title against number two ranked welterweight Teodor Hristov (18-3, 7 KO)Â in the co-main event.
Kwasi won the title GLORY 91 in Paris last April with a devastating performance and becoming the first man to stop Endy Semeleer in the GLORY ring. The 26-year-old then retained his belt when he fought lightweight champion Tyjani Beztati to a draw in November in what is a potential ‘Fight of the Year’ candidate.
Now the focus turns to young Bulgarian Teodor Hristov. The 24-year-old burst into GLORY at the end of 2023 and has racked off four straight victories inside the GLORY ring. These include impressive wins over former GLORY champ Murthel Groenhart and former title contender Jay Overmeer.
This is a title fight between two new generation stars of kickboxing. Neither have tasted defeat inside the GLORY ring and with their contrasting fighting styles, this is sure to be a barnburner.Â
