GLORY can confirm that Rico Verhoeven has vacated the Heavyweight Title. As GLORY’s all time leader in both wins and title defenses, we thank Rico not only for his outstanding performances inside the ring, but also for being a model ambassador for the sport outside the ring.
In 2026, GLORY is implementing a game-changing new competitive structure where its Champions will be tasked to compete more frequently throughout the year, both in single fights and one-night tournaments. These tournaments will be contested across four weight classes, including the Featherweight division in collaboration with RISE. Tournament Champions will become their respective division’s Champion, and they will be given the opportunity to defend their Title in single fights leading up to the next tournament.
This new structure will begin with the GLORY Last Heavyweight Standing Finals on February 7. The Tournament Champion will be crowned Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the world, helping usher in a new era of kickboxing.
GLORY remains committed to putting on the best and most exciting fights possible while showcasing the world class abilities of our fighters.
