GLORY announces that Sergej Maslobojev has vacated the light heavyweight title that he earned at GLORY 100 on 14 June 2025 as the result of a positive drug test.
Maslobojev has not contested the validity of the positive test, but is currently investigating the source.
“Under the GLORY Anti-Doping Rules, each athlete is provided a full and fair adjudication process,” said Nadia Silk, GLORY SVP of Athlete Safety & Regulatory Affairs. “Since Maslobojev faces a potential rule violation, he is given the opportunity to submit a defense which will be reviewed by the independent Anti-Doping Committee.”
"I want to make it absolutely clear that I have never knowingly used any prohibited substance. I have sent all of my supplements for analysis to find the source of any contamination because I am absolutely committed to clean sport and fair play and have dedicated my life to this sport," said Maslobojev. "I have decided to vacate the title while I investigate the source of my positive test. No matter how it might look from the outside, I stand clear and honest: I did not knowingly use any prohibited substance."
Maslobojev is currently provisionally suspended until a resolution is finalized.
