GLORY 100 is officially a two-day blockbuster event with back-to-back fight cards, showcasing the absolute best of kickboxing, taking place Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14 live from the Rotterdam Ahoy in the Netherlands.
It was confirmed earlier this week that Rico Verhoeven (65-10, 21 KO) will defend his GLORY heavyweight world title against the returning Artem Vakhitov (23-6, 8 KO), who owns the most title defences in GLORY light heavyweight history, in the main event of day two on Saturday, June 14.
Now, GLORY is pleased to announce that the current reigning and defending GLORY light heavyweight world champion Tarik Khbabez (52-11-1, 28 KO) will square-off against former champion and old foe Sergej Maslobojev (41-7, 25 KO) in the main event of day one on Friday, June 13.
It is unfinished business between the two leading light heavyweights as they lock horns once again. Their first fight took place at COLLISION 4 in 2022 where Maslobojev defeated Khbabez with a narrow decision, capturing the vacant title in what was the ‘Fight of the Year’ that year.
Since then, Maslobojev lost the title in a controversial fashion and while he has been climbing his way back to the top, Khbabez has emerged as the new undisputed champion of the division.
In addition, the second round of the GLORY Last Heavyweight Standing tournament will take place over these two events. The winners from the opening round at ‘GLORY 99: Last Heavyweight Standing’ on April 5 will compete in four unpredictable & thrilling four-man one-night tournaments.
