D'Angelo Marshall to debut against Inocente at GLORY 37 LOS ANGELES

Brazil's Guto Inocente (32-7, 17 KO's) will face the debuting D'Angelo Marshall (25-3-2, 13 KO's) at GLORY 37 LOS ANGELES.

Their heavyweight encounter will form the co-headline bout of the ESPN-televised card, with middleweight champion Jason Wilnis in the headline slot against challenger Israel Adesanya.

Inocente, a UFC veteran on an undefeated 3-0 win streak in GLORY Kickboxing, has an unorthodox kick-based style which has its roots in the karate he learned as a youngster in Brazil.

Marshall, born and raised in Amsterdam, Netherlands but drawing heritage from the Caribbean territory of Curacao, is a lifelong disciple of the Dutch kickboxing style, in which forward pressure and heavy hands are the keys to victory.

The 26-year-old Marshall has earned a solid reputation on the European circuit and has won two tough tournaments since beginning his professional career in 2010. Now he looks to carry that momentum into the sport's premier league.

Attempting to stop Inocente's win streak is no easy task, especially with Inocente coming off a win over Marshall's fellow Amsterdam-raised fighter Hesdy Gerges, but Marshall is currently riding a five-fight win streak of his own and is confident he extend that to six.

GLORY 37 LOS ANGELES takes place at 'The Novo by Microsoft', a part of the L.A Live entertainment complex in downtown Los Angeles, on Friday, January 20.

The full event features two title fights, with Wilnis/Adesanya headlining the ESPN card and featherweight champion Robin van Roosmalen headlining the earlier Superfight Series card (UFC Fight Pass) against Matt 'Matics' Embree.
