All four GLORY 10 Middleweight Championship Tournament contenders are on weight for Saturday night’s event.
The winner of the four-man tournament will emerge with $150,000 and the GLORY Middleweight Championship of the world while the tournament runner-up will receive a check for $30,000.
Four nations are represented in the tournament. World-ranked #1 Artem Levin of Russia is the bookmaker’s favorite, and faces tournament dark horse Jason Wilnis of the Netherlands in the semi-final stage.
American standout Joe ‘Stitch ‘Em Up’ Schilling is in the second semi-final bracket, facing Japanese karate stylist Kengo Shimizu, who earned a GLORY contract by winning an eight-man ‘Road to Glory’ tournament in his homeland earlier this year.
There is also a tournament reserve match on the card. The winner will be on standby in case one of the victorious semi-finalists is unable to take his spot in the final for injury or other reason.
It is an All-American match between Golden Gloves champion Wayne Barrett and New York native Robby Plotkin, a training partner of UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman.
