GLORY 10 LOS ANGELES was a breakout moment for American kickboxing. The four-man Middleweight Championship Tournament saw a quartet of top middleweights descend on Los Angeles, California to battle it out.

Artem Levin, ranked #1 in the world, was the clear favorite to win. But he met rising US star Joe ‘Stitch ‘Em Up’ Schilling in the tournament final in what turned out to be a classic encounter. The Russian and the American had a war for the ages before Schilling shocked the world by taking victory.

“Myself and Scott Hirano took over 7,000 pictures between us at GLORY 10 LOS ANGELES. This one is the strongest image of them all, hands down,” says James Law, GLORY photographer.

“Against all the odds Schilling fought his way to the tournament final for an epic encounter with world #1 Artem Levin.

“The fight went into an extra round, during which Schilling managed to knock Levin down for the second time in the fight to win the tournament in one of the biggest upsets the sport has ever seen.”
