In the main event of the five-fight card, No. 6 ranked welterweight Richard "Maximus" Abraham, fighting out of the United States, meets British newcomer Jamie Bates.

“I couldn’t have been given a better opportunity to create a name for myself and put my mark on not only the welterweight division, but the GLORY roster as a whole,” said Bates. “To be able to do it for the UFC FIGHT PASS audience is not only an honor, but an opportunity to reach new heights, so I’ll be leaving everything inside the ring on Saturdaynight.”

Bates added: “Richard [Abraham] is number six [ranked at welterweight] and has started to make waves in the division. So when I beat him, it will surely put me in a good spot and one step closer to the top.

Abraham, focused on the task ahead, remarked “I’m excited and honored to be in the GLORY 40 SuperFight Series main event, but I don’t care who my opponent is; I’m not here to make any new friends.”

Bates earned his chance at GLORY with a unanimous decision over Kev Ward, while Illinois-born Abraham looks to spoil the Brit’s debut and catapult himself into the top five.

Ahead of this weekend’s free event, GLORY has uploaded fights from the two main eventers:

Jamie Bates vs. Kev Ward at Road to GLORY UK (3/11/17)Richard Abraham vs. Francois Ambang at GLORY 30 Los Angeles (5/13/16)

Then on Saturday, May 20, "The King of Kickboxing" arrives on UFC FIGHT PASS.

GLORY heavyweight world champion Rico Verhoeven (50-10, 14 KO, fighting out of the Netherlands) headlines GLORY 41 SuperFight Series, battling hard-hitting contender Ismael "The Star" Lazaar (30-2-2, 15 KO, fighting out of the Netherlands) in a five-round, non-title superfight.

GLORY 41 SuperFight Series marks Verhoeven’s first appearance on UFC FIGHT PASS, and the clash with cult favorite Lazaar is expected to be a thriller.

At only 28 years old come fight night, Verhoeven has risen to superstar status since joining the organization and enters the bout on a 12-fight winning streak inside the GLORY ring. His run of dominance includes five title defenses against the world's best heavyweights and most recently, a TKO victory over legend Badr Hari in December at GLORY: COLLISION, the first kickboxing pay-per-view event to air on UFC.tv.
