Former middleweight champion Jason ‘Psycho’ Wilnis (30-9-1, 8 KO’s) will now headline this Friday’s GLORY 63 HOUSTON SUPERFIGHT SERIES card.   He and his Houston-based opponent Jacob ‘Onetime’ Rodriguez (3-2, 2 KO’s)were due to fight on the main card but have been moved into the vacant headline slot of the Superfight Series card.   That move follows the withdrawal of heavyweight D’Angelo ‘Big Poppa’ Marshall due to a visa issue. Oklahoma heavyweight Demoreo Dennis (11-8, 9 KO’s) will now instead face newcomer James Chapman.    That fight moves from the Superfight Series card to the Preliminary Card.   Moving up from the Preliminary Card in response is a clash between undefeated Mexican featherweight Abraham Vidales (12-0, 10 KO’s) and the debuting Dimitre ‘Poison’ Ivy (1-1).   The fight between South African lightweight Lorawnt-T Nelson (7-0, 3 KO’s)and Chinese counterpart Wensheng Zhang (45-6, 10 KO’s) has been moved from the Superfight Series card to the GLORY 63 to replace the Wilnis/Rodriguez clash.    And finally, the Preliminary Card bout between Justin Houghton and Nick Chasteen has been removed from GLORY 63 HOUSTON completely. The fighters will be rescheduled for a future date.    GLORY 63 HOUSTON takes place this Friday, February 1 at the Arena Theatre in Houston, Texas.    The card is headlined by world featherweight champion Petchpanomrung (161-36-3, 27 KO’s) - winner of the 2018 GLORY Knockout of the Year award - facing former champion Serhii Adamchuk (38-9, 14 KO’s).   Also on the card is Houston’s own Bekah Irwin (4-2, 1 KO), an 18-year-old Muay Thai prodigy. Irwin has already set a record by becoming the youngest fighter ever to sign with GLORY.    On Friday she is looking to add an exclamation point to that achievement by taking out INVICTA MMA veteran Stephanie Skinner (0-0 KB, 4-7 MMA) on the Superfight Series card.    Tickets for GLORY 63 HOUSTON are available here.
