Torso-tenderizer Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao shines in GLORY 35 debut

It's no secret that Thai fighters are some of the hardest kickers in fight sports, but the savagery of Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao's left kick shocked onlookers in this featherweight fight with fellow debutant Stanislav Renita of Moldova.

Petchpanomrung threw his first left kick one second after the opening bell of the fight and he threw his final left kick moments before the bell which ended the final round. In between those two points he landed over fifty full-power kicks to the left side of Renita's torso, turning the pale Molodovan purple on his right side.

The attending crowd initially thrilled at Petchpanomrung's powerful kicking but towards the end of the fight sounded almost sympathetic as the relentless hammering of Renita's ribcage continued unabated. Renita did at times make valiant efforts to rush Petchpanomrung and hammer him with punches, but he was never able to truly pin the Thai down.

In the end, it was about a controlled and dominating performance as has ever been seen in the GLORY ring. By the of the fight, Renita looked like he had been assaulted with a meat hammer, Petchpanomrung, sporting a light sweat, looked like he had just hopped off an exercise bike.

The fight went the distance, more due to the resilience of Renita's cartilage than any absence of effort of Petchpanomrung's part to finish him off. The result was a foregone conclusion, all three judges scoring it a unanimous decision in Petchpanomrung's favor.

Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao (152-34-2) def. Stanislav Renita (12-4-0), R3, Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
