Amrani and Pinca set to rematch in GLORY 36 co-headline bout

Two of Europe's top featherweights are set to meet in a co-headline clash at GLORY 36 OBERHAUSEN as Mosab 'The Jaguar' Amrani (55-11-4, 18 KO's) and Fabio Pinca (88-20-3, 37 KO's) face off for the second time in their decorated careers.

Dutch-Moroccan veteran Amrani is a fan favorite and has been a regular fixture of the GLORY ring since debuting with a superb first-round stoppage of England's Liam 'Hitman' Harrison back at GLORY 5 LONDON.

His attempt to capture the title at GLORY 20 DUBAI was unsuccessful but did result in a 'Fight of the Year' contender with Gabriel Varga. His back-to-back body stoppages of Chibin Lim and Maykol Yurk at GLORY 31 AMSTERDAM reminded everyone just how dangerous he is.

Pinca, of French-Italian heritage, is one of Europe's most accomplished fighters under Muay Thai rules. Among his many credits he is the current holder of the ISKA world welterweight Muay Thai championship and the former holder of WBC Muay Thai world and intercontinetal belts.

He has previously appeared twice in the GLORY ring – GLORY 1 and GLORY 3 - before electing to focus entirely on Muay Thai. It was in a Muay Thai fights that he met Amrani back in 2011, emerging with a unanimous decision win after a hard-fought bout.

Now the two are set to rematch in December, this time under Amrani's more preferred rules. Kickboxing demands a faster pace and more power shots than Muay Thai, where fights start at a much slower rate and with more emphasis on kicks, knees and clinching than on boxing combinations.

By coincidence, Pinca goes into the fight with Amrani off the back of a win over Harrison in England last month. The two fought to a decision over five rounds, the fight ending with the judges unanimously declaring Pinca the winner.

The GLORY 36 GERMANY card forms the middle portion of the year-ending GLORY: COLLISION mega-event and airs in the US on ESPN (in other territories check local listings for details).

Immediately prior to GLORY 36 GERMANY will be the GLORY 36 SUPERFIGHT SERIES card airing live on UFC FIGHT PASS.

The evening will then conclude with the four-fight GLORY: COLLISION pay-per-view headlined by Rico Verhoeven and Badr Hari, priced at $29.95 and available through US providers (DISH, DirecTV, iNDemand) and digitally via UFC.tv
