Moroccan sensation Hamicha (38-2, 28 KO’s) took on British welterweight Adam Hadfield (20-5-1, 10 KO’s) on the GLORY 66 main card in Paris.
Hamicha wasted no time, forcing Hadfield to the ropes. He delivered a heavy kick to the body that sent Hadfield crashing to the canvas in agony.
Hadfield took the count and returned to his feet. When the fight continued, Hamicha stalked him across the ring. Another body shot — this time a left hook — sent Hadfield to the mat again.
He got back to his feet, but the referee waved off the fight, despite the protests of the British fighter.
The victory marked the 28th career knockout for Hamicha and his second straight inside the GLORY ring.
“I knew he was hurt to his body and I had to finish him,” said the victorious Moroccan. “The goal is the belt.”
