Light-heavyweight threat ‘The Infamous’ Luis Tavares (60-7, 22 KO’s) will return to the ring on Saturday, June 22.
The Rotterdam, Netherlands-based prospect is facing France’s own Stephane Susperregui (48-8-2, 28 KO’s) at GLORY 66 PARIS.
Tavares returned to GLORY in December last year, his first appearance in the organization since a 2013 loss to current light-heavyweight champion Artem Vakhitov.
Having gone 14-3 in fights outside the organization between GLORY 9 and GLORY 62, Tavares is returning with his sights set on the world title belt and is presently #2 in the contender lists at light-heavyweight.
Vakhitov is defending the belt against Donegi Abena at GLORY 66, so Tavares will be paying close attention to the result of that fight - if he scores a win of his own in Paris, he could well be challenging the winner.
GLORY 66 PARIS takes place Saturday, June 22 at the Zenith Paris - La Villette in Paris, France.
