Mohammed Jaraya (64-7, 36 KO’s) is returning to the lightweight division.
‘The Destroyer’ is confirmed for the GLORY 66 PARIS card taking place on Saturday, June 22 at the Zenith Paris, where he will face Stoyan ‘The Sniper’ Koprivlenski (10-3, 4 KO’s).
Having previously competed entirely at lightweight, Jaraya experimented with a move up to welterweight when he signed with GLORY at the beginning of last year.
In March he won his debut over Miles Simson but was at a size disadvantage in his September loss to former welterweight champion Murthel Groenhart.
Now he’s returning to lightweight for a showdown with Koprivlenski, who fights out of Mike’s Gym in Amsterdam.
‘The Sniper’, whose record includes a victory over Tyjani Beztati, is ranked #3 at lightweight.
Jaraya has a big following, especially in the Netherlands, and Koprivlenski is looking to steal ‘The Destroyer’s shine in Paris.
A win for Jaraya, on the other hand, would immediately establish him as a new threat in the lightweight division.
GLORY 66 PARIS takes place Saturday, June 22 at the Zenith Paris - La Villette in Paris, France.
