Jauncey and Moiseev meet in key clash of prospects at GLORY 31 AMSTERDAM

Two of the lightweight division's most exciting new talents are on collision course.

East will meet West in the neutral territory of Amsterdam, Netherlands as Russia's Anatoly Moiseev (16-1, 4 KO's) faces off with Canada's Josh Jauncey (24-6, 12 KO's) on the GLORY 31 AMSTERDAM 'Superfight Series' card taking place Saturday, June 25 at the RAI Amsterdam.

Jauncey has emerged as one of the sport's brightest new prospects since debuting at GLORY 16 DENVER with a thrilling win over the vastly more experienced veteran Warren Stevelmans. Since then he has gone 5-2 in GLORY with four wins inside the distance and losses only to Giorgio Petrosyan and Sittichai, two championship-level opponents.

The young Canadian's flair and technicality, combined with his non-stop efforts to finish his opponents inside the distance, have won him fans around the world. Following his decision loss to Petrosyan last year the Armenian-Italian, widely regarded as the sport's pound-for-pound best, said that Jauncey has everything it takes to be the division's future champion.

Moiseev has also showed promise in his GLORY appearances to date, showcasing a crowd-pleasing destructive style. His debut win over Max Baumert in Dubai last year was one of the fastest knockouts in GLORY history, Moiseev dropping him with a head kick just twenty seconds into the bout.

In his last outing, the GLORY 28 PARIS Lightweight Contender Tournament, the previously-undefeated Moiseev suffered his first career defeat, seeing his 16-fight win streak snapped by the ferocious Marat Grigorian.

Moiseev, who was facing Grigorian on late notice, took huge damage, but his sheer grit and toughness allowed him to take the Armenian contender the distance. Grigorian went on to lose a narrow decision to Sittichai in the tournament final.

Next month Moiseev, now 2-1 in GLORY, will look to bounce back from that defeat by taking out Jauncey, who has no intention of allowing his own title shot campaign to be derailed. The stage is set for an explosive fight which the rest of the lightweight division will be watching with interest.

GLORY Superfight Series cards air live and exclusively worldwide on UFC FIGHT PASS, the UFC's digital broadcast platform.

The GLORY 31 AMSTERDAM 'Superfight Series' card will be followed by GLORY 31 AMSTERDAM airing live in the US on ESPN 3 and in more than 120 territories around the world. Robin van Roosmalen headlines in a grudge rematch against title challenger Sittichai.
