Josh Jauncey is the winner of the Performance of the Night award for GLORY 52 LOS ANGELES.Â
Â
The UK-born, Canada-based lightweight fought Bulgariaâs Stoyan Koprivlenski for three rounds on the main card.Â
Â
Plaudits for the contest were immediate on social media, with their high technical level being credited for creating âa beautiful fightâ.
Â
Both fighters impressed but Jauncey took things to a higher level in the latter half of the fight, his catlike reflexes and millimeter-perfect movements bringing the crowd to its feet several times.Â
Â
It was a perfect return to form for Jauncey following his upset loss to Elvis Gashi in New York last summer.Â
Â
In New York he allowed himself to be drawn into a brawl and paid the price; in Los Angeles he reminded everyone who the real Josh Jauncey is and why he has been marked as a prospect from such a young age.Â
Â
Now occupying the #5 slot in the rankings, Jauncey has his eye on fighting some rematches, with a view to setting some scores straight. He disagrees with decision losses to Chris Baya and Anatoly Moiseev and would like an opportunity to redress them in 2018.
Â
Winning the âPerformance of the Nightâ award for GLORY 52 adds $5,000 to Jaunceyâs purse.Â
