GLORY, the worldâs premier stand-up combat league, today announced the revised fight cards for both GLORY 52 Los Angeles and GLORY 52 SuperFight Series, airing live from the Pacific Room at the Long Beach Arena on Saturday, March 31.
Middleweight contender Robert Thomas suffered a concussion during training and has been forced to withdraw from GLORY 52 Los Angeles. Thomas was part of a one-night contender tournament, intended to feature the four top-ranked middleweights in GLORY. Following this shake-up, the remaining three middleweight tournament contenders have been rebooked.
Former two-time GLORY middleweight champion Simon âThe Oneâ Marcus (47-4-2, 26 KO, fighting out of Canada), currently ranked No. 2, will remain on the card, meeting Bang Muay Thai product Zack "King of War" Wells (4-0, 4 KO, fighting out of the United States) in the GLORY 52 Los Angeles co-headline bout.
No. 1-ranked Yousri Belgaroui (23-4, 11 KO, fighting out of the Netherlands) and No. 3-ranked Jason âPsychoâ Wilnis (30-8-1, 8 KO, fighting out of the Netherlands) were originally scheduled to compete in the middleweight contender tournament, but will instead square off as part of GLORY 53 SuperFight Series from Lille, France on Saturday, May 12.
Two bouts from GLORY 52 SuperFight Series have been moved to GLORY 52 Los Angeles, comprising the now final four-fight card.
UFC veteran Chris âKamikazeâ Camozzi (1-0, KO, fighting out of the United States) returns following his kickboxing debut, a stoppage of Kyle Weickhardt in December, taking a step up against top 10-middleweight Mike "The French Rock" Lemaire (19-5, 8 KO, fighting out of the United States).
Plus, Bulgarian bruiser Stoyan âThe Sniperâ Koprivlenski (9-1, 4 KO, fighting out of the Netherlands), ranked No. 3 following his lightweight contender tournament victory at GLORY 49 Rotterdam, faces No. 7-ranked lightweight Josh Jauncey (26-9, 15 KO, fighting out of Canada).Â
