Tickets on Sale Starting Today, May 7

New York, NY – GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing league, today announced the finalized headline bout for GLORY 22, taking place at Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille, France on Friday, June 5.

GLORY's Heavyweight World Championship is on the line as Rico "The Prince of Kickboxing" Verhoeven (45-10, 11 KOs) of the Netherlands defends his belt against powerful Romanian Benjamin "Mister Gentleman" Adegbuyi (18-2, 13 KOs).

Verhoeven is riding a seven-fight win streak in GLORY, with the last victory coming via TKO over Errol Zimmerman at GLORY 19 in February. Adegbuyi, on a three-fight GLORY win streak himself, was originally scheduled to face Anderson Silva at GLORY 21 on May 8, but an injury during the final preparations of fight camp forced him off the card.

Mladen Brestovac of Croatia was lined up to replace Adegbuyi against Silva but licensing issues meant the fight had to be scrapped. With no opponent, Silva is also now off the card. GLORY Superfight Series 21 will be headlined by Mike Lemaire in a middleweight match against Casey Greene.

Lemaire and Greene both came into GLORY via a February 10 ‘Road To GLORY’ tournament. Lemaire won the competition, stopping two of his three opponents, but has since gone 0-2 in GLORY. Greene was eliminated from the tournament in the quarter-final stage but is now 1-0 in GLORY after scoring a stoppage in his debut.

Additional bouts for GLORY 22, including the participants in GLORY's one-night, four-man Lightweight Contender Tournament, will be announced at gloryworldseries.com.

Tickets for GLORY 22 are available starting today at stade-pierre-mauroy.com and ticketmaster.com and are priced at €125, €85, €65, €55, €40, €25, and €15.

The organization's next event, GLORY 21, takes place on Friday, May 8 and airs live on Spike TV at 11/10c from Valley View Casino Center in San Diego. GLORY 21 is headlined by Middleweight Champion Artem "The Lion" Levin (50-4-1, 33 KOs) of Russia defending his belt against Canadian muay thai world champion Simon "Bad Bwoy" Marcus (42-2-1, 24 KOs).
