‘BAZOOKA’ JOE VALTELLINI JOINS GLORY 23 AND SUPERFIGHT SERIES LAS VEGAS ...

The broadcast team for GLORY 23 and SuperFight Series Las Vegas just added a little more firepower, as GLORY today announced that former Welterweight World Champion “Bazooka” Joe Valtellini is slated to provide commentary for two bouts at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas on Aug. 7.

Joining GLORY commentators Mauro Ranallo and Stephen Quadros in the booth, Valtellini will lend unique insight to the main event of GLORY 23, a clash between welterweight phenom Nieky "The Natural" Holzken and human highlight reel Raymond "The Real Deal" Daniels. The former champion, who vacated his title in June, faced both headline fighters during the one-night, four-man Welterweight World Championship Tournament at GLORY 13 in December of 2013.

Earlier in the evening, the three-man team of Valtellini, Ranallo, and Quadros will break down a welterweight bout between GLORY SuperFight Series Las Vegas competitors Murthel "The Predator" Groenhart and Chad “2Slick” Sugden.

“Joe [Valtellini] is a young man of many talents, both inside and outside the ring,” said Ivan Farneti, GLORY Executive Director. “He has a deep knowledge and passion for kickboxing and we are all excited to share that with the fans.”

Valtellini will also appear at official GLORY events throughout the week including Wednesday’s open workout and Thursday’s weigh-in.
