Danenberg out to spoil unbeaten Uega’s record in Amsterdam

Eyevan "Mister Cool" Danenberg (23-5, 11 KO’s) will make his third appearance for GLORY when he enters the ring at GLORY 45 AMSTERDAM.   He’s set to face undefeated Brazilian newcomer Wellington Uega (30-0, 19 KO’s) on the ‘Superfight Series’ section of the card.    Danenberg, from the Netherlands, is 1-1 in GLORY following a win over Spain’s Maximo Suarez and a contentious split-decision loss to top-five welterweight Karim Benmansour of France.    Currently ranked at #13 in the division, the tall young fighter has to become the first professional to beat Uega if he wants to climb the rankings and achieve his goal of becoming one of the big names in the 170lg/77kg division.    Most of Uega’s career fights have taken place in Brazil and he has established himself in his homeland as the top fighter in his weight class. Now he’s looking to export that success to the international circuit.    “A thirty-fight win streak is impressive, but GLORY is home to the world’s best fighters and here Uega will find himself tested as never before,” notes Cor Hemmers, GLORY Head of Talent Operations.   “But he trains with several GLORY veterans, including Ariel Machado and Maykol Yurk, so will be well prepared for the challenge.”   Tickets for GLORY 45 AMSTERDAM and GLORY 45 SuperFight Series are on sale now via tickets.glorykickboxing.com.
