Lightweights Itay Gershon (15-4, 5 KO’s) and Trevor Ragin (7-3, 3 KO’s) served as the swing bout of the GLORY 55 SuperFight Series in New York. Early on Gershon fired off kicks, but Ragin countered with heavy punches. Gershon has some big punches of his own though - a left hand from the Israeli knocked the mouthpiece from Ragin’s mouth just a minute into the affair. The opposite-stance fighters then traded body kicks before a massive left hook from Gershon dropped Ragin late in the round. It was a solid blow but Ragin was able to survive the round. Gershon kept up the assault in round two. Another left hand rocked Ragin and was followed by a series of power punches and a spinning heel kick to the head which very nearly separated him from his senses. Smelling blood, the Israeli fighter set his sights on target and delivered another left hand. This one finished the fight - Ragin went down and though he attempted to beat the count, the referee had seen enough. The stoppage win moves Gershon to a perfect 3-0 inside the GLORY ring at Madison Square Garden. Itay Gershon def. Trevor Ragin by TKO (left hook). Round 2, 0:36
