On Monday, GLORY announced that the light heavyweight match-up between Saulo Cavalari and Pavel Zhuravlev at GLORY 43 Super Fight Series had been elevated to a five-round, interim championship bout. Due to the announcement being made less than three weeks before fight night, this interim title bout will instead be contested over three rounds in fairness to the athletes. The fight winner and new interim title holder will still compete against reigning GLORY light heavyweight champion Artem Vakhitov in a unification bout after he returns from injury.
