Anvar Boynazarov and Kevin Vannonstrand go head to head at Madison Square Garden on Friday night with the interim world featherweight championship on the line. Vannonstrand won the GLORY 43 NEW YORK Featherweight Contender Tournament in the same venue to put himself into title contention. Boynazarov came runner-up in last month’s featherweight tournament at GLORY 47. Boynazarov stopped Fabio Pinca in Lyon, a finish which is sure to find itself in the ‘Knockout of the Year’ contender lists at the end of 2017. He’s promising to do the same to Vannostrand, but the Syracuse, New York fighter just laughs his threat off.
Vannonstrand and Boynazarov headline GLORY 48 NEW YORK on Friday, December 1 at Madison Square Garden in downtown New York City. The event airs live in the US on ESPN 3 and will re-air on ESPN 2 over the weekend.
