GLORY 33 SuperFight Series Sees Simon Marcus vs. Jason Wilnis

Plus, Super Bantamweight Grand Prix Quarterfinal Bout: Zoila Frausto vs. Daniela Graf

We will be making our way to the Garden State for the first time as Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ hosts GLORY 33 New Jersey and GLORY 33 SuperFight Series on Friday, September 9.

GLORY 33 New Jersey, which will be carried live on ESPN networks, is headlined by heavyweight kingpin Rico “The Prince of Kickboxing” Verhoeven (48-10-1, 12 KO) of the Netherlands defending his GLORY World Championship for a record fifth time.

His opponent, who was victorious earlier tonight at GLORY 32 Super Fight Series in Virginia, will be Brazilian veteran Anderson "Braddock" Silva (40-14-1, 25 KO). The bout will be Silva's first attempt at capturing GLORY gold since debuting for the organization in 2012.

Atop the GLORY 33 SuperFight Series card, streaming live and exclusively on UFC Pass, is a middleweight title tilt between reigning GLORY World Champion Simon"Bad Bwoy" Marcus (44-2-2, 24 KO) of Canada and 25-year-old Dutch-kickboxing phenom Jason "Psycho" Wilnis (28-6-1, 7 KO), currently ranked No. 2.

Marcus made his first title defense at GLORY 30 Los Angeles in June, defeating Dustin Jacoby via unanimous decision. Also picking up a win on the June fight card, Wilnis claimed his shot at the belt by earning a majority decision victory over Joe Schilling.

The organization's Super Bantamweight Grand Prix also continues on GLORY 33 SuperFight Series when former Bellator MMA strawweight champion Zoila "Warrior Princess" Frausto (4-0, 2 KO) meets dangerous German boxer Daniela Graf (23-4-1, 2 KO).

"The Tri-state area is a hotbed for combat sports and our last trip there proved that," said GLORY CEO Jon Franklin. "We've partnered up once again with a fantastic promoter in Lou Neglia to bring New Jersey's enthusiastic fanbase two high-caliber title fights on a fight card to be proud of."

Tickets for GLORY 33 New Jersey and GLORY 33 SuperFight Series are on sale now, priced at $100, $75, $45, and $25. Tickets are available for purchase via sunnationalbankcenter.com or by visiting the Sun National Bank Center box office.
