Warren Thompson has no regrets about going out on his shield

Warren Thompson says he has no regrets following his third-round KO loss to Robert Thomas in their GLORY 44 CHICAGO SUPERFIGHT SERIES middleweight fight.    “It was a great fight, I felt I was doing really well in the first two rounds and pretty good in the third, doing what I wanted to do, but then he hit me with a five-piece and rocked me a little bit,” he recalls.   “i was like, should I back up here? But I said f—k no that ain’t me, I put the pedal to the floor and then he hit me with something I don't remember and then I went out. S—t happens.   “Not the result I wanted, but I am here to kick asses and go out on my shield. I don't want to lose a decision, I am going to give it the best I got and if I go out, I go out, the hell with it.”   The result puts Thompson 1-1 in the middleweight division since dropping down from light-heavyweight earlier this year to score a win at GLORY 37.    In a bittersweet piece of news, he learned later in the evening that all three judges had him winning the first two rounds of the fight with Thomas and he would have been the unanimous decision winner had Thomas not stopped him.
