Xavier Vigney vs. Everett Sims added to GLORY 19 ‘Superfight Series’

Xavier Vigney returns to the ring at GLORY 19 next month, taking on fellow American fighter Everett Sims on the ‘Superfight Series’ section of the card.

Vigney blasted his way into the GLORY ranks by stopping three opponents in one night to win the Heavyweight ‘Road to Glory’ tournament in June 2013.

His fourth opponent under the GLORY banner also had his night ended early as Vigney put him away inside the distance in a fight on the GLORY 10 undercard.

Sims comes into the GLORY fold as a gold medalist in the 2014 WAKO North American Kickboxing championships.

He trains and fights out of the Gladiators Academy of Lafayette in the city of Lafayette, Louisiana, headed by the UFC veteran Tim Credeur and formerly the home of featherweight contender Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier.

GLORY 19 takes place Friday, February 6 and is headlined by Errol Zimmerman challenging heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven for his title belt.

Also on the card is a four-man Welterweight Contender Tournament. Nieky Holzken, Raymond Daniels, Alexander Stecurenko and Jonathan Oliveira will battle it out for a chance to challenge ‘Bazooka’ Joe Valtellini for the welterweight title.

The event airs live on SPIKE TV in the US, on The Fight Network in Canada and on BT Sport in the UK. In other international territories check local listings for broadcast details.
